1. ORGANIZATION

2. ULTRA 100KM TRIAL
The foot race "DoppiaW ULTRA 100KM" is a cross-border Ultra Trail that runs along the alpine paths of Valtellina(I) and Valposchiavo(CH). Departure and arrival in Villa di Tirano (SO) on june 30, 2023. Route in natural environment of about 100 km with a positive height difference of about 7500 m. The race is intended in a regime of semi-self-sufficiency and is regulated by time gates and time limits.
3. PARTICIPATION ULTRA 100KM
The participating athlete must be fully aware of the environmental context in which the competition takes place and the technical difficulties of the race course.
It is necessary to have appropriate mountain experience, to be well trained, to use appropriate equipment and clothing and to have recently participated in similar races.
The event is affiliated to the sports promotion body Csen (for the ITA territory).
The Organization has the right to not accept the registration of competitors deemed unsuitable.
4. UTMB QUALIFYING RACE AND ITRA SCORE
DoppiaW ULTRA is officially ITRA MEMBER and UTMB WORLD SERIES QUALIFIER.


The DoubleW Ultra 70km awards 5 ITRA points and is a qualifying race for the UTMB 100mile race

5. SEMI-SELF-SUFFICIENCY
Semi-self-sufficiency is defined as the ability to be autonomous between two points of refreshment, referring to safety, food and equipment, thus allowing adaptation to the problems encountered, whether foreseeable or not.
6. ULTRA 100KM REGISTRATION
Athletes who have reached the age of 18 can register.
FOR THE ITALIAN TERRITORY
TESSERAMENTO
The athlete must be in good standing with the membership Csen, Fisky, FIDAL, Fidal Runcard, Fidal Mountain & Trail Runcard for the year 2023.
Or he/she must be in good standing with the membership to his/her foreign athletics federation for the year 2023. Declaration athlete licensed for a foreign federation
Those who do not have a membership card can subscribe to the Csen card at an additional cost of 10 euros.
CERTIFICATE OF FITNESS TO PRACTICE COMPETITIVE ATHLETICS
All competitors resident in Italy (even if foreigners) must be in possession of a certificate of fitness for the practice of athletics valid on the day of the race in accordance with current Italian regulations.
The certificate must have been issued in Italy.
All competitors NOT resident in Italy but of Italian nationality, must be in possession of an examination of fitness for the practice of athletics valid on the day of the race according to the Italian regulations in force.

FOR THE SWISS TERRITORY
It is strongly recommended that each athlete be covered by an individual accident insurance that covers any costs of emergency services and hospitals for Switzerland. Swiss rescue services are run by private companies such as REGA etc. and the costs of intervention are entirely the responsibility of the athlete if their own insurance does not cover the services provided.
7. RELEASE OF LIABILITY
The copy of a valid medical examination or self-certification of fitness for the practice of athletics in accordance with current Italian legislation, if not delivered at the time of registration, must be delivered to the bib together with the signed LIABILITY RELEASE DECLARATION downloadable here: DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY (for all)

9. HOW TO REGISTER
Registration is done online via the registration link by SUNDAY, JUNE 30, 2023 23:59 HOURS. Registration opening 01/12/2022 hours 12:00.
Payment can be made by credit card, paypal, satispay, sofort, bank transfer. Registration without payment will not be accepted.
In case of bank transfer it is necessary to send the registration form with a copy of the payment + release and eventual sports medical certificate to email: iscrizioni@evodata.it
The cost of registration includes all the services described in this regulation + VAT but not handling fees. (Credit card commission etc. to be paid by the participant).

10. TIMING
It will be done by Evodata (Official Timer MySDAM) with technology based on the use of "disposable chip" applied to the bib.
Note: Failure to use or incorrect use of the chip will result in the non-inclusion in the ranking and the non-attribution of time.
11. RENUNCIATION AND CANCELLATION
CANCELLATION
Request for cancellation within April 15, 2023 to info@doppiaw.com gives the right to a refund of 50% of the fee.
After this date there will be no refund except for injury or illness by presenting a medical certificate.
It is allowed to transfer the bib number by JUNE 5, 2023, upon request to info@doppiaw.com and payment of 10 euros for administrative costs.
There is no postponement of the registration fee to the following year.
The race packets will not be sent and can only be collected at the scheduled time as per program showing an identity document.
CANCELLATION
In case of interruption or cancellation of the race for reasons of force majeure, weather, and / or unforeseeable circumstances, or for any other reason dependent or independent of the Organization, no refund will be due to participants.
12. BIBS WITHDRAWAL
At the bib collection every competitor is required to present:
an identity document with photo
If not already sent at the time of registration:
Copy of medical certificate
Membership card (as required in paragraph 6) or sign on site the card Csen.
DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY (or provided by the organization race office)
It is compulsory to show to the staff all the material required for the control, before collecting the bib.
13. BIBS
Each competitor will be given two numbered bibs to wear:
The main one in the ventral area or on the right thigh in a visible and readable way.
The secondary (small) bib must be worn on the back or on the backpack.
The bibs cannot be changed and must be worn for the duration of the race.
The bib is the pass needed to access the following areas:
Refueling areas
Collection of bags with change of clothes in the middle of the race km 48 Rifugio Malghera

14. GPS TRACK
Each participant in the ULTRA 100KM will receive a GPS before the start in Lovero which must be worn or carried in the backpack. The GPS must be kept on for the entire duration of the race (under penalty of disqualification).
At the end of the race the GPS must be returned to the control staff in the finish area.
In case of failure to return the GPS, the competitor will be charged a penalty of 150 euros.
15. RACE PACKS AND TECHNICAL GADGETS
The race packets and technical gadgets will not be sent and can only be collected at the appointed time as scheduled.
16. TRANSPORT OF PERSONAL EFFECTS BAGS
Each ULTRA 100KM competitor will receive a band with the bib number that must be attached to the personal bag that will be deposited in the start and finish area of the race, in Villa di Tirano.
The bag must be deposited by 21:00 on Friday, 30 June 2023.
Each ULTRA 100KM competitor will receive a bag and a band with the bib number where he can insert the spare material, which will be transported by the Organization halfway, km 48. Refreshment point Rifugio Malghera. The sack must be deposited at the start in Villa di Tirano in the collection area marked "Rifugio Malghera" within 21:00 on Friday, 30 June 2023.
The sack of the runners who have taken advantage of the change of clothes will be transported to the finish area in Villa di Tirano where it can be collected on presentation of the bib.
In case of withdrawal of a runner, his bag will be taken to the finish area in Villa di Tirano where it can be collected on presentation of the bib.
Unmarked bags or bags with objects attached externally will not be transported or accepted. It is recommended not to put fragile or valuable objects in the bag.
The organization is not responsible for any theft, loss or damage to the bags or their contents.
Bags and sacks can be collected only upon presentation of the race bib and will not be delivered in any way to the competitor's home in case of failure to collect in the manner listed.
17. MANDATORY MATERIAL
The runner must wear a minimum of suitable clothing including at least a technical T-shirt, ¾ pants or tights, or shorts with long socks and reflecting the prevailing weather conditions at the time of the race.
Clearly visible race bibs throughout the duration of the race.
Trail-Running shoe (category A5).
In addition, each runner must have with them, worn or placed in a backpack, for the duration of the race the following material:
Identity card / European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)
Cell phone with charged battery (Enter the Organization's emergency numbers, always keep it switched on, do not mask the number, the phone must also always be switched on in Swiss territory for any communication between the Organization and the competitor).
- GPS track provided by the organization to be returned at the end of the race.
- Backpack with sufficient capacity to contain all the material.
- Camelbag or bottle cage with a minimum capacity of 1.0 l.
- Personal glass or other container of about 15 cl, suitable for drinking at refreshment points.
- Sufficient water and food reserve to be independent between two refreshment points.
- Rain shell jacket with breathable waterproof membrane with heat-taped seams.
- Micro fleece or equivalent with long sleeves.
- Appropriate socks.
- Hat, cap or bandana.
- Gloves.
- Survival blanket, min. 1.40 m x 2.0 m.
- Adhesive elastic bandage suitable for making a bandage or strapping, min. 100 cm x 6 cm.
- 2 headlamps
- Whistle.
- 20 Euro for contingencies.
- Recommended:
- Spare clothing.
- Sunglasses.
- Waterproof pants
- The use of poles is allowed.
18. MATERIAL CONTROL
- Material control at the bib distribution for all competitors.
- Material control sample before the start and at the end of the race in the finish area.
- Control surprise along the route of all the mandatory material.
19. BEHAVIOR OF THE RUNNER
The participant must follow the regularly marked course and pass all the control points.
Competitors may not leave the race course on their own initiative. They can also be forced to withdraw by the race director or by one of the members of the medical staff present.
The abandonment of the race (on their own initiative or forced) must take place at a checkpoint, except for extreme reasons, by notifying the race controllers. The athlete is requested to follow the instructions of the control staff for the return to the start or finish area.
In case of accidents the athletes are obliged to render assistance to their colleagues in difficulty, respectively they have to alarm the control post closest to the place of the accident. The jury will take into account the time spent for this assistance.
The race director or race officials may oblige competitors, at any point on the course, to wear their windbreakers, headgear, or any other mandatory clothing or material.
Athletes are asked to be environmentally friendly and to dispose of trash in the containers at the refreshment areas (+/- 100m). Competitors who are reported for misconduct and uncaring environmental behavior will be disqualified.
20. PENALTIES AND DISQUALIFICATIONS
PENALTIES FROM THREE MINUTES TO DISQUALIFICATION
- Abandonment of personal equipment along the route.
- Cutting or abandoning the route marked out by the organizers.
- Missing or inadequate equipment and the non-use of the same if required.
DISQUALIFICATIONS
- Number not visible or manipulated
- Refusal to comply with an order from the race direction, a race commissioner, a doctor or a rescuer.
- Benefit of external aids outside the established areas. (Refreshments +/- 100 m)
- Failure to pass a control point.
- Abandonment of waste by the athlete outside the refreshment areas (+/- 100 m).
- Unsportsmanlike conduct.
- Failure to render aid.
- False Identity. Sharing and/or exchange of bib number.
- Refusal to submit to doping controls or positive doping control finding.
- Failure to attend the awards ceremony without just cause.
- Exceeding the predetermined maximum time. (Time Barriers)
21. COMPLAINTS
They must be made in writing, marked with the complainant's name and bib number, at the finish line or immediately after the publication of the provisional results. A deposit of € 20 will be required and will be refunded if the complaint is accepted. Complaints cannot be made after one hour from the publication of the provisional results.

23. ROUTE
The route of the DoppiaW ULTRA 100KM can be seen on the routes page. The race route follows mule tracks and single tracks that are easy to run,
There are 4 passes to cross on the Swiss-Italian border.
The presence of snow above 2000 m above sea level is not to be excluded.
In case of bad weather or impracticability of the paths, there is an emergency route that will be presented at the pre-race briefing.
Competitors must strictly adhere to the marked race route, avoiding taking shortcuts or cutting sections of the track. The departure from the official route, as well as involving disqualification from the order of arrival, will be at the sole risk of the competitor.

In the event of bad weather conditions and/or for safety reasons, the Organisation reserves the right to suspend the current event or to change the time barriers.
26. RESTORE
There will be 13 official refreshments
Only competitors have access to the refreshment point (clearly visible bib number).
It is forbidden to drink directly from the refreshment bottles. No glasses will be available.
Each athlete must have at his disposal at the exit from each place of supply, the amount of water and food necessary to get to the next refreshment point.
At the Malghera and Schiazzera refreshment posts, it will be possible to have a hot food (pasta or soup).
27. ASSISTANCE DURING THE RACE
Race support by accompanying persons is only allowed at the 10 official refreshment stations (approx. +/- 100 m). (approx. +/- 100 m) The accompanying persons must not obstruct the passage of the other athletes and the normal course of the race in any way.
Accompanying during the race is forbidden. It is forbidden to receive outside help outside the designated areas (13 refreshment posts). Penalty disqualification!
28. SIGNS AND DEMARCATION OF THE ROUTE
The refreshment area will be demarcated with tape and marked with a sign about 100 m before and about 100 m after the refueling point.
The route will be marked with directional arrows, flags and tape.
In addition to flags, directional arrows and tape, there will also be reflective tape.
All markings will be removed immediately after the passage of the last competitor and in the hours immediately following the end of the race.
29. SAFETY / CONTROLS AND HEALTH
SAFETY
In the most significant points identified by the organization and in any case in correspondence of the refreshments is established a place of emergency call.
The rescue posts are intended to bring assistance to all persons in danger.
The rescuers are authorized to evacuate with all means of their convenience the runners judged to be in danger.
In case of necessity, for reasons that are in the interest of the rescued person, in the opinion of the organization and after having obtained the advice of the medical staff, the official rescue service will be called, which will take over the management of the operations and will put in place all appropriate means, including the helicopter. Any expenses arising from the use of these exceptional means will be borne by the rescued person.
Medical personnel and a doctor will be present in the arrival area.
CONTROLS
The control points of the athletes passages are in correspondence of the official refueling areas. The organization reserves the right to carry out additional controls along the route.
HEALTH
Official rescue personnel are empowered to stop runners deemed unfit to continue the race and withdraw their bib.
A runner who appeals to a doctor or health personnel effectively submits to their authority and agrees to abide by their decisions.
A runner who is obliged to stop for medical reasons and who does not comply with the decision taken by the medical staff is no longer under the responsibility of the organization and loses all rights to the services it provides.
The organizer demands that the competitor respects the rules of integrity and sporting ethics. The competitor abstains from all doping practices.
The WADA list of prohibited substances and methods (substances and methods prohibited in competitions http://www.wada-ama.org/en/) in force on the date of the competition applies. The Organizer reserves the right to carry out Anti-doping controls.
Participants declare themselves willing to submit to such checks, if necessary.
30. ABBANDONO GARA E RIENTRI
In the event of abandonment of the race along the route, the competitor is obliged to go to the nearest control point and report his abandonment by registering. Anyone who abandons the race without immediately notifying the race and thus triggering a search by rescue personnel, will have to bear all costs incurred.
The organization will take care of the runner's return to Villa di Tirano from 3 control points.

It is possible that, for logistic reasons, retired runners will have to wait a while before being brought back to the arrival area.

32.TRASPORT
The organization guarantees only the transport (to Villa di Tirano) of the athletes withdrawn from the control points mentioned in paragraph 30.
33.PASTA PARTY
ASD DoppiaW organizes for Friday evening at 18:00 the pasta party at the Village of Villa di Tirano. The pasta party is not included in the cost of registration and the preference must be indicated during registration.
34. ACCIDENT INSURANCE
The participant must be privately insured against illness, accidents and other damages. The insurance must also cover any rescue and hospital expenses in Italy and Switzerland.
Swiss rescue services are run by private companies such as REGA and the costs of intervention are entirely at the expense of the athlete if their insurance does not cover the services provided.
The cost of rescue in case of an accident is not borne by the organization.
In the event of an emergency, for reasons that are always in the best interest of the person rescued, the official rescue service will intervene, which will then assume operational management and organize all appropriate means, including helicopter rescue. The costs arising from the use of these exceptional means will be borne by the rescued person, who must also assume the costs of his return from the rescue site. It is up to the participant to prepare a dossier within the deadline and send it to his private insurer.
If the organization had to pay the rescue costs directly, they will be reimbursed to the organization by the participant or his insurance company.
Contact your health/accident or mutual insurance company to find out if your current coverage is sufficient or if you need accident insurance, which covers rescue costs as well as hospital costs, limited to the day of the race.
35. PRIVACY AND IMAGE RIGHTS
By registering, participants agree to the publication of their name, surname, year of birth, place of residence, nationality, bib number, team, race time and placing in the starting lists and rankings of the event. This consent is valid for publication on the internet, in print media, on TV or social channels, in speaker announcements and for posting start lists or rankings during the event.
By registering, competitors renounce any right of image and word released to radio, television, publishing houses and advertising in general.
They also authorize the organization to use free of charge, without territorial or time limits, any still or moving images that portray them during their participation in the Doppia W Ultra.
It will not be possible to select photographs or films to obscure the faces of people who do not wish to appear on them.
Participation in the race does not grant participants the right to use the race and/or its name for advertising or commercial purposes or to transfer such rights to third parties. Any communication outside the private circle relating to the event or using its images is not allowed without the express written permission of the organization, which will establish the conditions.
36. RESPONSABILITY
The athlete, aware of the responsibility for false statements, acknowledges and confirms that he/she has taken direct vision of the race route and to have it, to the full extent of their powers, considered fully appropriate to their technical level; well aware that the above path has sections with fixed ropes and exposed passages, although assisted by the staff of the organization.
DECLARES:
- to be in possession of a skyrunning curriculum suitable for the competition to which he/she subscribes, having also in the recent past taken part in similar events and boasting mountain experience suitable to face the above mentioned route. -
- to have been duly informed by the organizers of the potential danger of the event that takes place in a mountain environment with the consequent objective dangers for all competitors and to intend, in the face of such knowledge, to assume the risk equally.
- to expressly exonerate the organizers and all persons or institutions involved in the organization, including, but not limited to, the committees and collaborators of the organization, authorized representatives, contractors, assistants, including volunteers to the fullest extent permitted by law, from any liability for gross negligence in relation to any accident of which the athlete himself is a victim and from any liability, both civil and criminal, for damage to persons and/or property caused by him. In particular, any liability for luggage carried by the organization is excluded. The organization also rejects any liability to spectators or third parties for damage of any kind.
37. PRIORITY REGULATION
These regulations have absolute validity over any other incorrect, incomplete or different information that may be found on sites or social media related in any way to this event. The Italian language version is the only valid version.
38. OVERNIGHT STAY
It will be possible to stay for free (Thursday 29 June, Friday 30 June and Saturday 1 July) in the structure of the Multifunctional Center of Villa di Tirano. More info at bib collection. Contact the Organization at the email address info@doppiaw.com to reserve the place.
Each athlete must have everything necessary for sleeping (cot / mat / sleeping bag, etc.).
